If you’ve been wondering whether KPOT in McAllen is worth going, the answer is absolutely yes. We went for lunch yesterday, and I was impressed from the moment we walked in. The selection is huge. Meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and sides. There is something for everyone. Our waitress, Genesis, was wonderful. She took the time to explain how everything worked, answered our questions, and made our first visit easy and fun. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the lunch specials made it an even better deal. Great food, great service, and a fun experience. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Genesis, for making our first visit such a great one!

Korean seafood tofu🌶 Little bite but not enough to scare anyone away. Delicious especially mixed with Chinese Herbal. And great for any first timers trying out a hot pot. Chinese herbal (vegetarian) Very flavorful and delicious 😋 on it's own or mixed with other flavors. Japanese miso Tastes like your basic miso Thai Tom Yum A little spicy but a good spicy. Well rounded flavor and spice. There is a soup that had multiple chilies next it, Chongqing🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶, but non of us were brave enough to try it out this time around, maybe I'll bring my hubby next time and have him sample it. In the end, our group combos were Chinese Herbal/Korean Seafood Tofu and Chinese Herbal/Thai Tom Yum x2. For our meats we chose lamb, pork, green mussles, frog legs, cuttlefish balls, quail eggs, pork dumplings. For veggies we ordered bok choy, enoki mushroom, seaweed knots, woodear mushrooms Overall we ate at the restaurant for 2hrs, we weren't rushed and ate our fill on hot pot. Unfortunately, we filled up too much on hot pot to try the grill part so we will have to come back another time to try it out. We went this morning and to start with, the service was really great. The server took the time to explain the whole menu and how the whole BBQ works. There was a big variety of veggies and meats. Everything looked really fresh and tasted amazing. Be careful of not ordering too much, is easy to do if you're very hungry. The soup gives you that satisfied feeling real quick. Seafood and meats tasted really good. They also have a separate food bar for sauces, and some desserts. There was also a great variety of drinks. You must visit this place.

I’m used to having great hot pot options like Haidilao and Mumu Hot Pot nearby, so my standards are pretty high. While visiting friends and family, I was craving hot pot and decided to give this place a try- and it did not disappoint. It’s easily the closest thing in the valley to what I’m used to. One thing I really liked is how they serve smaller portions (usually 2–3 pieces per order), which helps avoid wasting food and lets you try more items. The staff is very attentive, so it’s easy to keep ordering as you go. There’s a buffet table where you can mix your own sauce, and have little snacks/ desserts. My go to sauce is: garlic, green onion, cilantro, ponzu, and thai chili (but they don’t have fresh chilis so I used chili oil instead) Service really stood out during our visit- our server Marcos was fantastic. He checked in often, brought anything we needed right away, and even showed us how to adjust the grill and soup temperature. Overall, a great experience, and I can definitely see us coming back here regularly.

Really good selection of food and decor It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for if you like meats and seafood and you go for the experience we really enjoy it and all the servers are really nice and patient would definitely be back
